Kartikeya and Manini

Wedding Photoshoot

Kartikeya and Manini met through some common friends back in 2011. Very soon they started dating and realized that they are meant to be together. After six years of courtship Kartikeya proposed Manini in a different but special way in Sri Lanka in January 2017. Being a photographer, he made the best use of his art to make this a very special memory of their life. Instead of the cliched rings and flowers, he made a video by compiling all the clips of their favourite moments and in the last part of the video he went down on one knee to ask her out for marriage. And the answer was an obvious YES.

They finally tied the knot on 3rd Dec 2017. Their wedding was a fun filled one day affair on a wintery day under the clear blue sky in a Chattarpur farmhouse. With its open-air venue and beautiful decorations gave the feeling of a destination wedding despite being in a city like Delhi. Pastel shades like peach and orange which is also Kartikeya's favourite colour were mostly used for the decorations. Another catchy aspect of this wedding was the gorgeous ivory coloured lehenga adorned by Manini. From the very beginning, both Kartikeya and Manini were very clear about their plans for the event and particular about even the minutest aspects of the arrangements may it be the venue, food, or decorations. Ever since the wedding bells rang, they had carefully planned out things and with the help of their families successfully executed them.

What makes their wedding different from the rest is that it was more about celebration of two souls uniting and embarking on a journey together in a more fun and exciting manner than getting too much into the long and exhausting rituals. Rituals were, of course, a part of it but the joy, laughter, and excitement that was seen in the whole set up were what made it stand out from usual weddings. The jolly bride seemed to have the most amazing time making an entry dancing to the beat of the music. As she rightly said, happy brides are the best kinds. The wedding turned into a sundowner party and continued till night with an amazing and happy crowd around.
