Anika and Sohil

Is it possible to fall for someone in a matter of few hours? In today’s date I never thought it really was. For all we know love at first sight sounds cliché at best. And yet they were one of our practical couples whose story feels like scenes from REEL life to REAL life.

The Bell’s that buzzed in the Cab:

After a year of lesser than casual chatting they met for drinks in downtown Toronto. She had come to Toronto from Kingston to network for possible business opportunities. Having done his MBA in the same university a year before Anika, Sohil had been in the same shoes as her and shared his experience as a helpful alum. They spoke of everything unromantic under the sun with no clue of how the road was about to take a huge turn. They were so immersed in the conversation that she had almost forgot that she had a train to catch. Rushing to make it on time she hugged him goodbye and that was the first time they both could felt their heart beating louder than the street surrounding.

There is a certain spark between these two. Something that cannot be defined in words. The ways he cuddles her up in his arms and the way she is smiles around him creates magic. I think that magic is visible to others more than they realize.

They told us after the hug when Anika got into the cab, the driver asked her if Sohil was her boyfriend and that was the moment when they first thought they could be more. That was the moment they fell for each other. Without any romantic gestures or grand proposals, simply in the feeling of togetherness. The rest has been an easy yet complicated aftermath.

From that day to their wedding day they have been through thick and thin. And that journey is visible in their bond. The way they have come together along with their families is an absolutely joyous sight. And the joy was shared by many of their near and dear ones during their wedding in Hotel Anjushree (Ujjain, MP)
